Finally, something!

I finally finished a project! I am a notorious craft- starter. My house is strewn with the corpses of half finished projects. Hmmm... what a visual. :) Well my friend Maranda is an amazing cook/seamstress/crocheter/mom, basically great at everything. She has a sewing room that makes me drool and one of those lovely computerized applique/embroidery sewing machines and an endless supply of fabric. My moms friend sent me some darling yellow flannel but I didn't have a clue of what to do with it. Told Maranda, and she suggested a beginners quilt for me. So I went over one night, used some of her blue flannel, and she got me started. I was able to go home and do the whole thing by myself! No supervision! I can quilt ladies and gentlemen! So now I have a fun tummy time quilt for the baby (who is coming in 5 weeks by the way).

Close up of the fringe- yellow has tiny blue flowers on it

Ta da!

I love the little quilt. I'm proud of you. I made my very first quilt for baby Afton and I gotta say it was fun to see that I could do it. Now you can rescue some of your corpses that are lying around and finish some with confidence!!!! Can't wait for baby Gabriel to come.
